Ed Sheeran, given the birth name of Edward Christopher Sheeran, is an England born singer songwriter who recently achieved mainstream music success with the 2011 release of his debut single "The A Team". Ed Sheeran's music combines elements of hip hop and folk music that makes him a truly unique artist who creates music that is unlike any other music heard today. Ed Sheeran was first discovered by the actor Jamie Foxx when he performed during an open mike night at Foxx's club known as The Foxxhole, and since that time Ed Sheeran has slowly begun his rise to fame and has been featured as both the opening act during a recent Snow Patrol tour and as one of the featured artists at the Glastonbury Festival of 2011.
